Eminem's newest album is the best rap album of 2010 so far. Hands down.

Every song on this album goes hard. After hearing his previous album, Relapse, I thought Eminem was on his way out. I could not have been more wrong. He even addresses the failure of Relapse in a confessional track entitled, “Not Afraid”.

And to the fans, I’ll never let you down again, I’m back
I promise to never go back on that promise, in fact
Let’s be honest, that last Relapse CD was “ehhhh”
Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground.

Looking past the previous album, Recovery, is no let-down. This is on par with the Slim Shady LP without a doubt. All sixteen songs are great, but If I had to pick the top three…

“You’re Never Over”

“Space Bound”

“Not Afraid”

The music video for “Not Afraid” released a few days ago, check it out here:

Honorable mention: “No Love” feat Lil Wayne. Any song that can rap over, “What is Love?” is awesome in my book.

The duo drop their newest mixtape with a combination of new and unreleased songs.

Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish are back with their latest project: Tacklebox. It’s a collection of fifteen slow-flowin’ songs that are great for bumping in your car this summer. Although I like the slow beats, there’s just something about a song like, “Oscar” off of their previous EP that does it for me. Let’s hope their upcoming album due out later this year, When Fish Ride Bicycles has a mixture of sounds from both the EP and Tacklebox. Tracklisting and download link below:

01. Fishing Lessons (Prod. by Chuck Inglish)
02. Flying Kytes (Prod. by Chuck Inglish)
03. Freak City (Prod. by Chuck Inglish & Old Young)

Two new songs from Arcade Fire's upcoming album and a crazy music video for, "Holiday" by V.W.

Arcade Fire’s new album, The Suburbs hits stores on August 3rd. You can now pre-order the album from their website and in doing so, you also get two songs early. “Month of May” and “The Suburbs”. Both of the songs are quite good but If I had to choose between the two, it would be “The Suburbs”. The piano hook they have in the song is fantastic. Check both of em out below:

The Suburbs by c22113

In other news, Vampire Weekend have just released their new music video of “Holiday” off their latest album, Contra. The video features the dudes dressed up like they were from the Victorian era running around what looks to be L.A. and having a good time. What really made the video was at the end when the four pick a fight with a couple of surfers and then lead singer, Ezra Koenig drops a people’s elbow on one of them. Classic.

IGN sits down with Bungie's community director, Brian Jarrard to hear what they learned from the Beta.

The Halo: Reach beta just ended last week and I for one can say that I cannot wait for the game to hit shelves on September 14th. I think it is much better than Halo 3 and overall, just a fun game. There are however some things that need fixing in the game like the melee system, faulty headshot registration, animation glitches, server migration, and more. Bungie seems to already know about these issues and are already working on them according to this interview. If you want to read the whole interview, click here.

If you just want the abridged version…read on:

More than 2.7 million unique participants logged more than 16 million hours. To put that in perspective, the Halo 3 beta had just over 800,000 players during its lifespan. Reach surpassed that in it’s first day.

The Bungie.net beta forum alone had more than 360,000 forum posts during the beta and that doesn’t include all the feedback coming in through other channels.

There were more than 1.4 million pieces of user generated content (films and screenshots) uploaded during the beta which equated to roughly 1.3 Terabytes of data uploaded to fileshares.

In terms of sheer carnage, there were over 1.1 BILLION kills registered.

Over 13 billion Credits were earned by players over the course of the beta.

Base movement speed and jump height were areas that many players were very vocal about. While the design intent is for the Spartan IIIs to move a bit slower and jump a bit lower than the Spartan IIs of Halo 3, the team has been testing some minor tweaks in response to beta feedback.

The Armor Lock has already been fixed and uses more energy each time it is activated, preventing exploitation.

The beta only represented a sliver of the final Armory and player reward system available in Reach

Players should expect all sorts of tweaks to the object and weapon layouts on the maps by the time the final game rolls around. For example, based on feedback and data from the beta, the flag positions for Powerhouse and Swordbase have been relocated, allowing a much better flow and capture opportunity for the attackers.

New stuff will most likely be shown off at E3 next month.

For more Reach: Beta impressions, you can check out what a handful of MLG Pro’s thought about it here.

Lastly, HawtyMcBloggy did an article entitled, “What Your Halo: Reach Armor Says About You”. It was a pretty enjoyable read and can be found by clicking this link.

Undefeated adds some nationalism to their 5 strike tee.

With the World Cup in just three short weeks, Undefeated has designed some tee shirts that are full of national pride. So far, there are seven shirts that have been shown off: France, Germany, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Brazil, and England. I’m hoping they do some more. As an Italy fan, I’ll be disappointed if they don’t release a shirt for the 2006 champs. The collection will go on sale at all UNDFTD shops and online stores on May 22nd. Check out some more pictures below:
